Endangered Plant Species of the World - Volume #16
The universe is a whole, an interconnected system. All knowledge, all experiences ultimately relate to all others. In this course, some matters of great importance to human life are illuminated. The more you understand of the wider aspects, the better you can handle the more minute details, thus the better your technical skills can be developed. The wider and fuller your knowledge and your skill, the more you will help others, and the higher your professional stature will grow. Ultimately, all this will give you a solid, justified, rich sense of your own worth. It will surprise some people, but this subject is fun and full of humorous and stimulating items. This program is written by John Beckner for the Academy of Botanical Art. Mr. Beckner is a longtime Florida botanist, horticulturist, and environmental consultant. Mr. Beckner has been working in Florida and Caribbean plant taxonomy and ecology for more than fifty years. He is listed by The American Orchid Society as one of about two dozen top orchid experts accepted by them for identification work and has been an American Orchid Society judge for over 40 years. He has taught ornamental plants, landscape design, genetics, and physiology at Pinellas Vocational Technical School, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Eckerd University, and Plant Morphology for Artists at Ringling College.
