A letter
from the Editor
Dear Friends:
In an effort to go on with the events of life, and as difficult as it
is to reason that anything at all has importance, I, like many, struggle
to prevail. Daily I talk myself through the labyrinth of disbelief and
enter into a clearing that wants only peace, only God.
So inept am I, that
all I can offer is prayer. Not a prayer for leveling the scales, but a
prayer for healing. Human sacrifice, human frailty, human injustice, human
kindness -- what are these, I ask myself, without some relationship to
the whole?
In the largest cosmic
sense, all that I say and do ripples across our lives in some collective
force and waits for an answer. I shall put my prayers to sea, place my
ear upon the earth and wait for that answer -- may it be peace and may
God bless us all. OM
