A letter
from the Editor
Dear Friends:
As we approach the second month of our great loss, I realize I am reminded
daily how obstacles create triumph. Ticket takers now acknowledge passengers,
cars let us pass, strangers smile, nurturing Moms cuddle more, protective
Dads are visibly involved, and then there are those times we bark. Thank
you God for all these reminders that kindness is the way for us to grow
in our humanity and heal many a woe. I hope your interest in art is another
way toward that healing for it is often said that the meditative quality
of observing or participating in art is like prayer. Thank you for being
with me in this form of prayer. It is a gift to serve you. God Bless.

A Garden of Gardens
From On A Chayre In The Same Garden by
George Gascoigne
If thou
sitte here to viewe this pleasant garden place
Think thus: at last will come a frost, & all these floures deface:
But if thou sitte at ease to rest thy wearie bones,
Remember death brings finall rest to all oure greevous grones.
So whether for delight, or here thou sitte for ease,
Thinke still upon the latter day, so shalt thou God best please.
Many good wishes to you
and yours
for a blessed Thanksgiving Holiday!
