A letter from the Editor

Dear Friends:
November found us here in sunny Florida. A trip to the Dominican Republic to do more work on recording tropical plants interrupted my unpacking. This was good.

Now back home to pay the piper, I’m learning fast how to garden with tropical plants. It is truly an exciting journey and one I invite you to join me on. When I empty the last box, I plan to spend a day at the library and work out a plan for my new lawn. And if this doesn’t happen, I’ll just keep painting and leave the lawn to a competent lawn company.

Regardless of the approach, the discovery of unusual plants to paint is one we can all be on. I’ve listed a few books to wet your appetites and hope that in the new year you'll email me your new discoveries and any you think I might be interested in.

It is my New Year’s wish for you that 2002 bring you wonderful new beginnings and many successful completions. God bless. OM

You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a fine spirit of hope of achievement. You are here to enrich the world and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.
