A letter
from the Editor
Dear Friends:
Just in case you havent read the Spring ASBA Newsletter, I thought
I would repeat the information about the ASBAs 7th Annual Meeting
and Conference to be held in conjunction with the Opening of the Hunt
Institutes 10th International Exhibition of Botanical Arts in Pittsburgh,
PA. This exhibit features 103 artworks of 75 new artists from 11 countries,
with the artworks of over 20 ASBA members.
The Hunt Institute,
part of Carnegie Mellon University, has holdings of over 30,000 original
paintings, mostly 20th century watercolors, and drawings and original
prints dating from the Renaissance to the present. This constitutes one
of the worlds largest collections of botanical art and illustration.
So mark your calendar
for October 25-27, 2001. To register, contact Carol Bolt, Executive Director
of the ASBA at cbolt@nyc.rr.com.
Remember to reserve your room early. Try the Holiday Inn 800-864-8287,
the University Club 412-621-1890, the Hampton Inn 800-426-7866, or the
Wyndham Garden Hotel 877-662-6242. The ASBA has additional room info is
all is booked. Enjoy. God Bless. OM

Soul
Biz
I am an absolutely true human being
Who knows that religious rites cause a baby to be born,
And knows that which is dangerous,
And knows how to sacrifice in order that it may rain.
To convince you that I am a human being in-and-out,
I know that a barren wife
Can give birth when rites are performed,
And know that things are harmful;
And I know that worshipping God
Makes it rain when there is a drought.
